Level 3 Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care

This course is designed for individuals who want to want in the adult social care sector.

A qualification in adult social care plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and compassionate delivery of support to vulnerable individuals. It equips professionals with a comprehensive understanding of knowledge and principles that underpin the sector, including:

  • equality and diversity,

  • safeguarding,

  • duty of care,

  • health and safety,

  • person centred approaches,

  • and handling information.


Level 3 Award in Caring for Children in a Home Environment

This course is designed for those wanting to provide a childcare service in a home environment.

These qualification provides a solid foundation of knowledge and skills needed to create a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children, covering child development, dietary and physical needs, health and safety practices, working relationships, and the role and responsibilities of a nanny and/or running a childcare business. Those with an accredited qualification demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and instill confidence in parents, assuring them that their child will be in capable hands.

The course covers the following units:

  • roles and responsibilities of those caring for children in a home environment

  • children’s development, well-being and behaviour

  • plan to care for a child in a home environment

  • provide a childcare service in own home

  • role of the nanny in home based childcare
