Course Objective
The course gives you the confidence to teach online and the structure to deliver well-planned online lessons that meet the needs of your learners.
Course Delivery
The course is a week-long, online learning course with a tutor who will guide you through to completion.
The tasks are all completed online.
On the final day we will link up with you via Skype for your microteach session; you can present your session directly to us or choose to teach a small number of your own learners, which we will observe.
This is a short, intensive programme but we have designed it to enable you to work on two tasks each day. However, you can choose to continue at your own pace and may find you have more time in the evenings or at the weekend. The important thing is to work on the course regularly, as you would expect your own learners to do
Course Content
There are course notes to provide you with information to complete all the tasks. However, you may wish to research more online. There are forms or charts to complete, questions in an online text forum and short assignments. You are also required to devise a plan for an online course, prepare a lesson plan for your session, and evaluate two online sessions, as well as reflect on what you have learnt over the week.

There is no need to work on this course at set times during the day; most people choose times best suited to them, often weekends or evenings. Therefore, you do not need to take time off work, though you should make sure you do have some time during the week.
