Publish A Paper

Students work through this online course by formalising their initial concept and idea,  receive guidance and tips on how to review the relevant literature, shown how to collect data and compose effective questionnaires, and finally how to analyse and present their results.  

Students complete the course with an 3,000 - 5,000 word academic paper that is ready for publication.  

During this course you will learn:

• the structure needed to produce a paper

• the type of content required by academic journals

• how to find the content for your paper

• the appropriate research methodology

• data analysis

• the different referencing systems required 

• appropriate journals for publication

Students are encouraged to produce work systematically, and feedback and guidance is given on all drafts in terms of the structure and content that has been written.  Students will produce a paper that is approximately 3,000 - 5,000 words in length by the end of the course.

The paper is then proofread and copy edited to publication level by us so that it is ready to be submitted to an academic journal.

Previous Submissions

As part of the pilot programme for this course, we had 4 students successfully published in academic journals, with topics ranging from psychology to civil engineering.  One of our students had two papers published and has now been promoted to Department Head at a new college.
